2019 MWLC Tournament Field Set

2019 MWLC Tournament

The four teams for the 2019 Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference Tournament have clinched their spots and the seeding is set for the MWLC semifinals and final.

Hamline University (16-1, 13-0 MWLC) won the league title for the second straight season to earn the top seed and hosting rights for the tournament. The Pipers, who have won the past two tournament titles, will host fourth-seeded Augsburg University in the first semifinal Friday morning at 11. The Auggies (10-7, 10-3) are making their fourth-straight trip to the tournament after a tough 8-7 loss to Hamline in last year's title game.

Illinois Tech (11-4, 11-2) earned the program's first appearance to the tournament as the second seed and will face Aurora University in the second semifinal Friday afternoon at 2. The third-seeded Spartans (12-5, 11-2) are making their fifth consecutive trip to the tournament.

The two semifinal winners will meet Saturday in the MLC tournament final at 6 p.m. All three tournament games will take place at Hamline's Klas Field in Saint Paul, Minn.

The tournament champion is the MWLC's automatic qualifier in the NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Championship Tournament.
