Brunn, Bryan-Jeffries Earn MWLC Weekly Awards

MINNEAPOLIS—Loras College's Clare Brunn and Hamline University's Alyssa Bryan-Jeffries have been named the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference (MWLC) offensive and defensive players of the week respectively, for events March 22-28 as selected by the league's sports information directors.

Brunn (Rochester, Minn.) had a big performance on Wednesday, March 24 to defeat UW-LaCrosse 16-12. Her nine goals and 11 points both rank second on the Duhawk's list of single-game records. Brunn had five goals in the win over Wartburg on Saturday, March 27 to help Loras open conference play undefeated. This is the second MWLC Player of the Week honor for her this season.

Bryan-Jeffries (Bloomington, Minn.) made 13 saves to help the Pipers open the conference slate undefeated. She recorded a 76.5 save percentage in the game against Northwestern on Saturday, March 27. This is her second-straight MWLC Player of the Week honor, and third of her career.

The MWLC is comprised of NCAA Division III institutions located throughout the Midwest including Augsburg (Minneapolis, Minn.), Beloit (Beloit, Wis.), Cornell (Mt. Vernon, Iowa), Hamline (Saint Paul, Minn.), Loras (Dubuque, Iowa), Monmouth (Monmouth, Ill.), Northwestern (St. Paul, Minn.), and Wartburg (Waverly, Iowa).
