Beloit College sophomore goalkeeper Marie Bonine (Stillwater, Minn./H.S.) led the Bucs defense during a 17-11 season opening loss to Albion and has been named the Midwest Women’s Lacrosse Conference Player of the Week on defense.
The sophomore recorded 21 saves with a 55.3% save percentage and added two caused turnovers in the loss to the Britons.
Beloit (0-1, 0-0 MWLC) will return to the field on Wednesday, March 4 against Elmhurst.
