Aurora University sophomore midfielder Kenny Hughes (Calgary, Alberta/Winston Churchill) led the Spartans to a 1-1 mark last week and has been named the Midwest Women’s Lacrosse Conference Player of the Week on offense for the second time.
The sophomore scored seven goals with one assist and three ground balls in a 15-11 loss to Southwestern (TX) and added four goals, two assists, four ground balls, and two caused turnovers in a 19-8 win over Muskingum.
For the week, Hughes totaled 11 goals, three assists, seven ground balls, and two caused turnovers in two contests.
Aurora (3-4, 1-0 MWLC) will travel to Concordia (Wis.) and Wartburg during league play this week.
