WAUKESHA, WI - The Concordia University (Wis.) men's lacrosse team improved to 2-0 in conference play with a 7-6 win over Benedictine (7-3, 1-1 MLC) Saturday. The Falcons (6-2, 2-0 MLC) currently sit alongside Aurora atop the league standings.
Six different players scored for the Falcons in the win. Senior Marino Best (Nanaimo, British Columbia/Wellington) led the way with two goals and one assist, finding the back of the net twice in the first quarter.
Defensively, senior Mark Wilson (Calgary, Alberta/Notre Dame) led the way with five ground balls and four caused turnovers against the Eagles.
Concordia is scheduled to face Illinois Wesleyan and Dubuque in non-conference play this week.

Aurora University (8-1, 2-0 MLC) remained perfect in conference play, beating Cornell College (2-7, 1-1 MLC) 24-3 Sunday. Sophomore attack Trevor McNamara (Holland, Mich./Grand Haven) scored nine goals with two assists, one ground ball and one caused turnover in the conference win over the Rams.
Beloit College (2-7, 0-2 MLC) snapped a six-match losing streak with a 11-7 win over DePauw. Freshman Ed Smith (Toronto, Ontario/Rutgers Prep) led the Bucs with three goals and one assist in the non-conference win.
Concordia Chicago (1-8, 0-1 MLC) earned the program's first ever win, beating Carroll (Wis.) 10-6 on Wednesday. Freshman Cal Crawford (Stillwater, Minn./Cretin-Derham) scored five goals with two assists and 10 ground balls in the win for the Cougars.
