Benedictine University's Mike Cislak and University of Northwestern's Zach Shockency have been named the Midwest Lacrosse Conference offensive and defensive players of the week for events of March 4-10, as selected by the league's sports information directors.
Cislak (Downers Grove, Ill.) helped the Eagles to a 2-0 week by scoring eight goals and adding an assist. The senior attacker scored five goals against Marian University in a 15-4 conference-opening victory Wednesday and netted three against University of Dubuque Saturday in the 14-3 non-conference win. His eight goals came on 14 shots.
Shockency (Stillwater, Minn.) amassed 22 saves in the Eagles' 10-7 triumph versus Monmouth College Saturday. The senior goalkeeper had a .759 save percentage in all 60 minutes in net.
