Hanover College junior attacker Nick Hermes (Grayslake, Ill./H.S.) led the Panthers to a 2-1 record to start the season and has been named the Midwest Lacrosse Conference Player of the Week on offense.
The junior scored 12 goals, added two assists, and scooped up nine ground balls during the week of play. Hermes scored five goals with three ground balls in a last minute 9-8 win over Shenandoah and added another five goals, five ground balls, and two assists in a 20-2 road win over Bethany (WV).
For the week, Hermes averaged 4.0 goals, 4.67 points, and 3.0 ground balls per game, while shooting 52% (12-23).
Hanover (2-1, 0-0 HCAC) will return to action on Monday, March 10 against Mount St. Joseph.
