Concordia University senior LSM Kyle Burrell (Calgary, Alberta/Henry Wise Wood) helped the Falcons finish 2-0 in conference play this past week and has been named the Midwest Lacrosse Conference Player of the Week on defense.
The senior recorded eight ground balls and four caused turnovers in a 17-2 home victory over MSOE and added four ground balls, two caused turnovers, and a goal during a 24-10 home win over Hanover.
For the week, Burrell had 12 ground balls and six caused turnovers to lead the Falcons defensive effort.
Concordia (4-2, 3-0 MLC) is scheduled to face Olivet, Adrian, and Alma in non-league action this week.
