Beloit College freshman defender Jake Wallace (Minneapolis, Minn./Jefferson) led the Bucs defense during a pair of wins last week and has been named the Midwest Lacrosse Conference Player of the Week on defense.
The freshman registered 11 ground balls in BC’s 21-7 win over Fontbonne and added 12 more ground balls in a 22-2 win over Dubuque.
For the week, Wallace totaled 23 ground balls with two assists and one caused turnover.
Beloit (5-6, 3-3 MLC) has secured the No. 4 seed in the upcoming MLC tournament and will finish the regular season against Carthage on Wednesday.
