KENOSHA, Wis. -- Carthage College Director of Athletics Robert Bonn has named Dennis Cox II as head women's lacrosse coach. Cox replaces Lauren Hume, who resigned in July to take a position as athletic director at Bellevue High School in Bellevue, Wash.

Cox comes to Carthage after two years as head coach at Methodist University. Prior to Methodist, Cox was an assistant coach at Shenandoah University for two years. A native of Crozet, Va., he attended Shenandoah and played lacrosse, where he was a two-time All-Presidents Athletic Conference pick . Cox graduated from Shenandoah in 2008 with a bachelor's in both mass communications and kinesiology, and he received his master's in exercise science at California University (Pa.) in 2012.

"We are very excited to have Dennis lead our women's lacrosse program," said Bonn. "He has a great lacrosse background, experience coaching women's lacrosse and unmatched enthusiasm."
