MWLC Selects Players Of The Week For March 12-18

Concordia University Wisconsin's Lauren Paquin and Allison Kurek have been named the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference offensive and defensive players of the week for events of March 12-18, as selected by the league's sports information directors.

Paquin (Waukesha, Wis.) was the Falcons offensive lead with nine goals and two assists during three games last week. The junior twice scored four goals and added two assists in the home-opener against Carthage College. She also had 12 ground balls, seven draw controls and nine caused turnovers.

Kurek (Chicago, Ill.) was the defensive catalyst for the Falcons last week; picking up 10 ground balls, winning 16 draw controls and causing 12 turnovers. She began the week with five ground balls, six draw controls and seven caused turnovers, to go along with a goal and assist in a close 11-10 victory at Southwestern Texas. The senior also added three goals, three assists, two ground balls, five draw controls and three caused turnovers versus Carthage in the home opener.
