MWLC Selects Players Of The Week For April 9-15

Aurora University's Andrea Colford and Cornell College's Kayla Boyd have been named the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference offensive and defensive players of the week for events of April 9-15, as selected by the league's sports information directors.

Colford (Eden Prairie, Minn.) led Aurora to a 2-0 week with 11 goals with nine ground balls, 16 draw controls and also caused four turnovers. The senior scored five goals in a win at Concordia University Chicago and scored six in a win versus Beloit College.

Boyd (Colorado Springs, Colo.) held Illinois Institute of Technology to just four goals in the MWLC win. Despite being Boyd's first year ever playing goalie, senior has now recorded seven straight games with double-digit saves as she tallied 11 Saturday.
