Hamline Wins Third-Straight MWLC Regular Season Championship

ST. PAUL -- Hamline University won its third-straight Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference (MWLC) regular season championship Saturday. 

Hamline finished MWLC play undefeated (5-0) for the third consecutive year.  This is the ninth time in conference history the champion has recorded a perfect record.

This is the third championship under head coach Karen Heggernes in Hamline's fifth year of membership in the MWLC.

The Pipers will be the top seed for the conference tournament which begins Wednesday, April 24. The tournament format has changed this year. The No. 1 and No. 2 seeds will host a semifinal game on Wednesday, with the championship Saturday at the highest remaining seed.
