Wilson, Graham earn MWLC weekly awards

MINNEAPOLIS— Augsburg University's Jade Wilson and Lake Forest College's Ali Graham were named the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference (MWLC) offensive and defensive players of the week, respectively, for events March 27-April 2, as selected by the league's head coaches.

Wilson (Freshman; Waukee, Iowa ) scored 11 goals on 14 shots on goal in the two games last week for the Auggies. She was 2-4 on free position shots and added 21 draw controls, seven ground balls, and one caused turnover. Wilson currently leads the league in goals (29), points (30), and draw controls (62).

Graham (Junior; New York, N.Y.) played in both games last week for the Foresters and recorded 13 caused turnovers, five draw controls, and 10 ground balls. She scored six goals and added three assists for nine points. Graham leads the conference in caused turnovers (25), is third in points (27), and is seventh in draw controls (25) and goals (17).

This is the first career MWLC honor for the duo.

The MWLC is comprised of NCAA Division III institutions located throughout the Midwest including Augsburg (Minneapolis), Cornell (Mt. Vernon, Iowa), Hamline (St. Paul, Minn.), Lake Forest (Lake Forest, Ill.), Monmouth (Monmouth, Ill.), Northwestern (St. Paul, Minn.), Saint Benedict (St. Joseph, Minn.), and Wartburg (Waverly, Iowa).
