ST. JOSEPH, Minn.-- The College of Saint Benedict won its first Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference (MWLC) regular season championship Saturday.

The Bennies won the outright title with a 19-10 victory over Augsburg. They finished undefeated (7-0) in MWLC play in their inaugural season as a varsity program. This is the second-straight season the regular season champion has finished undefeated in league play.

Saint Benedict will be the top seed for the conference tournament which begins Wednesday, May 3. The No. 1 and No. 2 seeds will host a semifinal game on Wednesday, with the championship Saturday at the highest remaining seed.

Complete information about the tournament will be released Sunday, April 30.
