Wilson, Koffler earn MWLC weekly awards

MINNEAPOLIS— Augsburg University's Jade Wilson and the University of Northwestern's Daisy Koffler were named the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference (MWLC) offensive and defensive players of the week, respectively, for events April 24-30, as selected by the league's head coaches.

Wilson (Freshman; Waukee, Iowa) scored 10 goals over the three games last week for the Auggies. She added nine ground balls, 10 draw controls, and seven caused turnovers. Wilson leads all MWLC players in league games in goals (33) and points (33). She is second in draw controls (42) and fourth in ground balls (29).

Koffler (Senior; Pine City, Minn.) played all 120 minutes in goal and made 22 saves in two games last week for the Eagles. She made 19 saves in the contest against Lake Forest Saturday. Against all conference players, Koffler is tied for first in minutes (420), first in save percentage (58.9), third in goals allowed (39), and fourth in saves (56).

This is the second career MWLC honor for the duo, and second this season.

The MWLC is comprised of NCAA Division III institutions located throughout the Midwest including Augsburg (Minneapolis), Cornell (Mt. Vernon, Iowa), Hamline (St. Paul, Minn.), Lake Forest (Lake Forest, Ill.), Monmouth (Monmouth, Ill.), Northwestern (St. Paul, Minn.), Saint Benedict (St. Joseph, Minn.), and Wartburg (Waverly, Iowa).
