MWLC Announces 2023 Season Awards

MINNEAPOLIS--The Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference (MWLC) awards have been announced for the 2023 season. All awards are voted on by the league's head coaches.

Cornell's India Smith was named Defensive Player of the Year, Lake Forest's Ali Graham was tabbed Midfielder of the Year, and Northwestern's Samantha Wiebold was selected as the Attacker of the Year.

Saint Benedict's Sami Hackley was named the Rookie of the Year.

Coach of the Year honors went to Patrick Crandall of Saint Benedict. The Bennies won their first MWLC regular season championship and finished with an undefeated record in league play (7-0).
