Wilson, Haselow earn MLC women’s weekly awards

MINNEAPOLIS— Augsburg University's Jade Wilson and Hamline University's Kendra Haselow have been named the Midwest Lacrosse Conference (MLC) women's offensive and defensive players of the week respectively, for events February 12-18 as selected by the league's head coaches.

Wilson (Waukee, Iowa) scored all three goals in Sunday's season opener loss against Carroll (Wis.). The sophomore also added seven draw controls, two ground balls, and one caused turnover. Two of her total goals were free position goals.

Haselow (Franklin, Wis.) picked up two ground balls in the Pipers' season opener loss to Carroll (Wis.) Saturday night. Hamline has opened the season against the Pioneers for the past two seasons.

This is Wilson's third career MLC honor and first for Haselow.

The MLC is comprised of NCAA Division III institutions located throughout the Midwest including Augsburg (Minneapolis), Cornell (Mt. Vernon, Iowa), Hamline (St. Paul, Minn.), Lake Forest (Lake Forest, Ill.), Northwestern (St. Paul, Minn.), and Saint Benedict (St. Joseph, Minn.).
