Zanoni, Duininck earn MLC women’s weekly awards

MINNEAPOLIS—Cornell College's CeCe Zanoni and the University of Northwestern's Reegan Duininck have been named the Midwest Lacrosse Conference (MLC) women's offensive and defensive players of the week respectively, for events April 8-14 as selected by the league's head coaches.

Zanoni (Mundelein, Ill.) scored 13 goals over the two contests on the week for the Rams. She scored eight in the MLC win over Northwestern Saturday. Among all conference players, she is second in goals (13), tied for second in points (17), and tied for sixth in assists (4).

Duininck (Prinsburg, Minn.) had 11 ground balls and six caused turnovers in two games on the week for the Eagles.  Among all MLC players, she is tied for second in ground balls (12) and caused turnovers (9).

This is the first career MLC honor for Duininck and fourth for Zanoni.

The MLC is comprised of NCAA Division III institutions located throughout the Midwest including Augsburg (Minneapolis), Cornell (Mt. Vernon, Iowa), Hamline (St. Paul, Minn.), Lake Forest (Lake Forest, Ill.), Northwestern (St. Paul, Minn.), and Saint Benedict (St. Joseph, Minn.).
