College of Mount St. Joseph freshman defense Courtney Gleason (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) led the Lions defensive effort during a 2-1 week and has been named the Midwest Women’s Lacrosse Conference Player of the Week on defense.
The freshman totaled eight caused turnovers, eight ground balls, and was able to carry the ball the length of the field for two goals and an assist as the Lions recorded wins over Aurora and Trine.
Mount St. Joseph (4-4, 2-2 MWLC) will travel to Dubuque and Loras this weekend.
