Aurora University senior attack Rachel Cochran (Kalamazoo, Mich./Mattawan) led the Spartans to a 20-5 win over Kalamazoo and has been named the Midwest Women’s Lacrosse Conference Player of the Week on offense.
The senior scored five goals, on eight shots, with two assists and two ground balls to lead Aurora in the season opening defeat to the Hornets.
Aurora (1-0, 0-0 MWLC) will face Occidental this afternoon and Claremont Mudd Scripps Tuesday.
