Concordia University freshman midfielder Allison Kurek (Chicago, Ill./Nazareth Academy) helped the Falcons earn road wins over Alma and Benedictine during the week and has been named the Midwest Women’s Lacrosse Conference Player of the Week on defense.
The freshman scored two goals with one assist, five ground balls, three draw controls, and one caused turnover in a 16-5 win over Alma. Kurek added one goal, one assist, seven ground balls, two draw controls, and a program record-tying five caused turnovers in a 13-0 win over Benedictine.
For the week, Kurek totaled three goals, two assists, 12 ground balls, five draw controls, and six caused turnovers.
Concordia (4-3, 2-0 MWLC) will play host to Aurora Tuesday afternoon and will travel to Beloit for a 7:00 PM contest Thursday.
