Augustana College sophomore midfielder Kaylee Nolan (Orland Park, Ill./Sandburg) anchored the Vikings defense during a 3-0 week and has been named the Midwest Women’s Lacrosse Conference Player of the Week on defense for the second time.
The sophomore led the defense in a 22-0 win over Dubuque with seven draw controls, five ground balls, two caused turnovers, two goals, and an assist. In a 15-14 win over Denison, Nolan controlled 12 of AC’s 18 draw controls with two ground balls and one caused turnover. The sophomore midfielder closed the week with six draw controls, one ground ball, and two goals in a 21-3 win over Loras.
For the week, Nolan totaled four goals, one assist, eight ground balls, 25 draw controls, and three caused turnovers.
Augustana (9-0, 3-0 MWLC) is scheduled to face Benedictine and Mount St. Joseph on the road this week.
