Hilary Kargl, Augustana College

Augustana College junior attack Hilary Kargl (Louisville, Ky./Sacred Heart Academy) led the Vikings to wins over Dubuque, Denison, and Loras during the week and has been named the Midwest Women’s Lacrosse Conference Player of the Week on offense for the second time. 

The junior scored four goals with two assists and two ground balls in a 22-0 win over Dubuque. 

Kargl broke the Augustana assist record with six assists against Denison  and then broke the school record again the next day with seven assists against Loras.  In a 15-14 win over regional power Denison, Kargl assisted on 75% of AC’s total goals and added another goal herself.  The Louisville, Kentucky native closed the week with two goals, seven assists, four ground balls, and one caused turnover in a 21-3 win over Loras. 

For the week, Kargl totaled 22 points (seven goals and 15 assists) to keep the Vikings perfect on the season. 

Augustana (9-0, 3-0 MWLC) is scheduled to face Benedictine and Mount St. Joseph on the road this week.
