Concordia University freshman midfielder Allison Kurek (Chicago, Ill./Nazareth Academy) helped the Falcons earn a pair of MWLC wins during the week and has been named the Midwest Women’s Lacrosse Conference Player of the Week on defense for the second time.
In CUW’s 16-7 win over Aurora, Kurek caused four turnovers, picked up four ground balls, won five draw controls, and scored three goals. The freshman then caused two turnovers, picked up six ground balls, won a career-high nine draw controls, and scored a career-best five goals in a 15-7 win at Beloit.
For the week, Kurek amassed seven caused turnovers, 10 ground balls, 14 draw controls, and scored eight goals.
Concordia (6-3, 4-0 MWLC) is scheduled to face Carthage, Cornell College, and Wartburg this week.
