North Central College sophomore Gina Fisher (St. Louis, Mo./Ursuline Academy) set a pair of school records as the Cardinals went 1-1 and has been named the Midwest Women’s Lacrosse Conference Player of the Week on defense.
In a 20-7 win over Benedictine, Fisher tallied a school record 10 draw controls with six caused turnovers, seven ground balls, five goals, and four assists. Fisher preceded that effort with a school record 14 ground balls, five caused turnovers, seven draw controls, seven goals, and four assists in a 14-13 loss to Concordia (Wis.) Tuesday.
North Central (6-4, 5-1 MWLC) is scheduled to face Augustana, Loras, and Mount St. Joseph this week.
