Loras College freshman Sarah Hanson (Hartland, Wis./Arrowhead) led the Duhawks to a 2-1 mark last week and has been named the Midwest Women’s Lacrosse Conference Player of the Week on offense.
The freshman scored three goals on three shots as Loras fell 17-5 at St. Mary’s (IN) and added two goals with an assist in an 8-7 win at Wilmington. Hanson closed the week with her third hat trick of the season, tallying three goals with a career-high four ground balls in a 9-8 win at Hanover.
For the week, Hanson scored eight goals with one assist, four ground balls, and one caused turnover.
Loras (4-6, 1-2 MWLC) is scheduled to face Dubuque, Beloit, and Illinois Tech on the road this week.
