Concordia University freshman midfielder Allison Kurek (Chicago, Ill./Nazareth Academy) helped the Falcons clinch a share of the MWLC title and the top seed in the upcoming MCVL tournament with a pair of league wins and has been named the Midwest Women’s Lacrosse Conference Player of the Week on defense for the third time. 

Kurek had five goals, six ground balls, and a program-record-tying five caused turnovers in a 10-9 loss at Carthage.  The freshman scored four goals with one assist, three ground balls, six draw controls, and two caused turnovers in a 20-3 win over Cornell College and capped the week with one goal, four ground balls, four draw controls, and four caused turnovers in a 19-2 win over Wartburg.  

For the week, Kurek amassed 13 ground balls, 11 caused turnovers, 14 draw controls, 10 goals, and one assist.

Concordia (8-4, 6-0 MWLC) is scheduled to face Robert Morris-Chicago and Mount Union in non-league play this week.
