North Central College sophomore attacker Gina Fisher (St Louis, Mo./Ursuline Academy) led the Cardinals to a 2-1 record during the week and has been named the Midwest Women’s Lacrosse Conference Player of the Week on offense.
The sophomore set a single-game school record with 10 goals in a 17-13 win at Mount St. Joseph Saturday, posting the highest scoring total ever in a MWLC game and the second-highest total by any Division III player this season.
Fisher added six goals and four assists in a 22-3 win over Loras, also adding 11 ground balls, nine draw controls, and five caused turnovers.
For the week, Fisher totaled 18 goals, five assists, 16 ground balls, 15 draw controls, and nine caused turnovers.
North Central (8-5, 7-2 MWLC) has clinched a spot in this weekend’s MWLC tournament and will close the regular season at Dubuque Tuesday.
