Concordia University freshman Allison Kurek (Chicago, Ill./Nazareth Academy) led the Falcons to three road wins last week and has been named the Midwest Women’s Lacrosse Conference Player of the Week on offense.
The freshman scored four goals with three assists, eight ground balls, eight draw controls, and two caused turnovers in a thrilling 21-20 overtime win at North Central. Kurek then recorded four goals with two assists, three ground balls, and seven draw controls during a 21-7 conference win at Illinois Tech. The Chicago, Illinois native closed the week with a career-high eight points (six goals and two assists) with two ground balls, four caused turnovers, and a program record 13 draw controls against Augsburg.
For the week, Kurek totaled 14 goals, seven assists, 13 ground balls, 28 draw controls, and six caused turnovers.
Concordia (11-6, 7-0 MWLC) will host the MWLC tourney this weekend and will open with a semifinal match-up against Benedictine at 1PM Friday.
